Located
at the base of Pilot Mountain State Park in the town
of Pilot Mountain (better known as "Mt. Pilot"
from the Andy Griffith Show), this Bed and Breakfast
is nestled on 100 acres of woodlands. Sitting high
on a hillside, the home looks out over the six acre
private stocked lake. Directly behind the lake is
the majestic Pilot Mountain. |
In
this home of over 9,000 square feet, our suites are large
with whirlpool tubs for two and gas burning fireplaces some
featuring hand carved mahogany mantles and all with 9' ceilings.
Each
suite is decorated in its own individual style, which range
from Victorian to traditional and 18th century furnishings.
You will find hand carved mahogany, iron and poster beds
which set off the mood of the rooms, along with all the
ruffles and lace of yesteryear.
All beds are queen size.
We
serve a full breakfast to you in the privacy of
your room or suite or there is an 83
foot deck overlooking the lake and Mountain where
breakfast can be served during the warm months (weather
permitting). Either location provides a front row seat to
the spectacular view.
Paddleboats,
rowboats and a canoe are available during the warmer months
for romancing, sunning, fishing (catch & release only)
or just plain relaxing. There are three gazebos available
for picnicking next to the lake. And an in-ground swimming
pool!
There
is an exercise room available, or exercise by walking the
many trails on Pilot Mountain (2 minutes from the house).
If the
feeling of peace and tranquillity tops your priority list
along with breathtaking sunrises & sunsets, a beautiful
lake and mountain view, plus lavishly appointed rooms, then
this is the place for you.
