Relax by the fire, or wander into one of the original twin parlors. When the house was built, the parlors were designated for ladies and gentlemen; cigars and brandy in one ­ sherry and women talk in the other. We have turned the men's parlor in a library and it is one of the favorite rooms of our family and friends, a place to cuddle up on a chilly Vermont night with a book and a crackling fire. Our town's literary guild meets here the fourth Thursday of the month. If you are lucky enough to be here then, please join in the discussion. The ladies' parlor is a perfect spot to relax in the morning, its subtle light inspires a calm start to he day. Do you play the piano? Across the Hall is our little game room where you can try your hand at the traditional backgammon, chess, cribbage, mancala, or the more contemporary Clue or Monopoly.
